Artist Reflection:
1. I feel like the second picture is the best, although both pictures are pretty similar, setting wise. It captures a backlighting behind a sunset.
2. The first picture could be considered the weaker shot because, the sunset is glowing too much, not capturing the figure.
3. The weaker photo can be improved by positioning the capture, making sure the sun doesn't glow as much, or wait until the sunset settles.
4. I used photoshop to edit both pictures. I used leveling, and contrast to edit.
5. I met the objective by capturing a silhouette.
6. Looking for a setting and a subject(s) for this assignment was easy. The setting was in the comfort of my own yard at my home.
7. What was difficult was creating the silhouette with the subjects, and finding the right time to take the pictures, based on the sun, and where the subjects were positioned.
8. If I could do this assignment over again, I would take pictures in different settings, or create my own silhouette, instead of relying on the sun's glow.
9. I would rate my effort an 8 because I've captured different positions, and poses for the subjects, but capturing the pictures in different settings would make the project stronger, giving it more diversity. |
